A panel discussion at Dubai Courts explored corporate management and valuation using metaverse technology. The session was led by Judge Dr Hamda Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Head of the Bankruptcy Circuit and the Payment Order Circuit at the Commercial Court, in dialogue with expert Dr Bassam Ajoul.
Organised by the Experts and Arbitrators Department in collaboration with the Commercial Court, the session brought together 43 participants from the judicial and administrative bodies, as well as specialised experts.
Judge Dr Al Suwaidi outlined the concept of metaverse technology, its applications in the UAE and its future prospects. She also discussed the mechanisms through which the technology may be used to establish commercial companies, support their operations and management, facilitate business activities, and monitor corporate performance.
She further addressed the future of commercial and criminal legislation in regulating the use of this technology in the United Arab Emirates.
