Dubai Courts, represented by the Experts and Arbitrators Department and in collaboration with the Commercial Court, organised a panel discussion entitled “Practical Accounting Challenges Related to Restructuring Plans, Preventive Composition Proceedings and Voting Mechanisms.”
The session was delivered by Her Excellency Judge Dr Hamda Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Head of the Bankruptcy Circuit at the Commercial Court, with the participation of accounting expert Dr Bassam Ajoul. It was attended by 50 judges, experts and Dubai Courts employees.
The session was held in line with the Experts and Arbitrators Department’s ongoing plan to enhance the professional capabilities of experts registered with Dubai Courts and keep them informed of the latest developments in relevant legislation.
Judge Dr Hamda Al Suwaidi highlighted the importance of dialogue sessions between experts and judges, noting that they provide an effective platform for communication between the judiciary and Dubai Courts experts. Such sessions facilitate the exchange of knowledge, enable participants to discuss the challenges encountered in judicial expert assignments, and strengthen channels of communication between both sides.
She added that these sessions equip experts with the essential technical and professional information required to support sound decision-making, improve their efficiency, and contribute to the effective administration of justice. They also promote stronger cooperation between judges and experts and help enhance the quality of expert reports submitted to judicial authorities.
